It’s March 2018 and when we should be enjoying the first signs of spring (think daffodils, lambs and T-shirts!) we are instead wrapped up in hats, gloves and wellies and trudging through snow.
We’re in Weymouth on the South Coast of the UK. It’s a popular seaside town with award winning beaches (often voted the best beach in the UK!), family attractions and a beautiful harbour.
But just 2 weeks after the ‘Beast from the East’, a polar vortex which made its way from the arctic, Britain was hit again with the arrival of the ‘Mini Beast from the East’ which again brought cold weather, ice and snow.
This time Weymouth got a fair covering of snow. From the marina to the harbour, Nothe Fort to the beach, all were covered with this blanket of snow.
