Weymouth Bridge

The Weymouth Harbour Bridge is a lifting bridge which needs to be raised to allow vessels into the inner harbour.

The bridge is raised every two hours with outgoing traffic having priority.

Here we video the 10.00am bridge lift on a hot bank holiday and as it turned out there were many boats wanting to get out on the water that day! In fact it took 15 minutes for all vessels to transit so we’ve sped it up to 60 seconds!
